The HoBOOken 5K and Scary Scurry kids’ run, scheduled for October 31, is now accepting submissions for its T-shirt design contest. The winning artwork will be featured on shirts as well as related marketing materials. Deadline is end of day September 15.

The contest winner will receive free entry to the 2020 and 2021 runs, as well as a sweatshirt featuring the winning design.

Proceeds from this annual community event benefit the Hoboken Shelter, which shelters 50 people nightly, serves more than 500 meals daily, hosts 1,000 showers weekly, and provides support services like case management, counseling, job- and life-skills training, creative arts workshops, emergency homelessness-prevention grants, and permanent supportive housing solutions.
