ZenSpace provides a solution to one of the biggest logistical and financial obstacles to teaching dance or wellness classes in Hoboken’s tight commercial real estate market. Its two studios are available for rental for classes, workshops, one-on-one practices and special events.

“In my early 20s, when I was a struggling, overworked dance artist in New York, I discovered healing and energy work.  My life would never be the same again,” says ZenSpace founder Kristen Mangione. “That discovery took me on a journey into Chinese Medicine, where I became a healing artist studying Zen philosophy and practicing meditation, and an experience of self-development that I could have never planned for. My teaching, artistic work as a dance artist and as a program leader have all been profoundly influenced by this path.”

Mangione also teaches an online Intro to Dance series. “If you love to dance and move, or wish that you had learned to dance as a child, but never had the chance, this is for you,” she says. “You’ll ​discover the freedom, joy and pleasure of dancing from the comfort of your home.”
