The Institute for Personal Growth (IPG), which offers counseling and psychotherapy in three physical locations in New Jersey, including Jersey City, has now made its services even more accessible with teletherapy.

“At IPG we’re always ahead of the curve, and we’ve had remote therapy capabilities in place for years to conduct online psychotherapy sessions with our clients when appropriate,” says Executive Clinical Director Susan Menahem, LCSW. “If you or your therapist are feeling under the weather, or you can’t get a babysitter for the kids tonight, or your car is in the shop, we can still make your therapy session happen remotely using our HIPAA-compliant, encrypted online therapy software.” Teletherapy is also available to new clients.

IPG provides outpatient psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, couples, families, children and adolescents. It also offers therapy for sexual problems, with five certified sex therapists and 14 sex therapy postgraduate residents on staff.

“We serve the general population, but have special expertise with LGBTQ clients,” Menahem says.

Other specialties include depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, grief counseling and anger management.
