The Ins and Outs of Subluxation

A weak spine can actually make us sick, mostly due to subluxation. “Sub” means under, or below; “lux” means how much light is present (referring to the international system of units measuring the power of light); and “ation” means process. In the body, that translates to, “Are the electrical impulses from brain to tissue cell flowing at their full capacity?” We want the messages to get where they are supposed to go at 100 percent strength.

So, if we have a subluxation in our spine, that means we would have fewer than normal signals, or “light”, flowing back and forth from the brain to our organs and body parts. They travel through the spinal cord, and if the signals only partially find their way out from between the subluxated (pushed-under) vertebrae that are stuck and blocking them, the body will eventually become unhealthy. The manifestations may not show up until later, and that's what most folks get meds for.

To rid the sickness for good, we must get to the cause, or it will return. Just add light and Mother Nature takes care of the rest, by allowing the brilliant vitality we all possess to work better and therefore not allow ill health to occur or heal that has already occurred. With this knowledge, it is clear that adding a chiropractor to our health care team is a wise choice.
